Directions to Trailhead: Take Utah Highway 9 into Zion National Park. Follow the main road to the Weeping Rock Trailhead. The trailhead is marked with signs. From the parking lot, cross the bridge and take the trail on the left. (To the right you will find the Hidden Canyon Trail). Trail Description: The Weeping Rock Trail is a very easy, pretty trail to hike while visiting Zion National Park. After crossing the bridge, this paved trail begins to climb steeply for the first few yards; then it levels out as you near the spring. Along the way, visitors can stop to read educational signs about the foliage and the spring. After a quarter mile, you will climb a few steps and end up under Weeping Rock, which will sprinkle water drops onto you. This can be very refreshing on a hot day. Bring your camera on this hike; Weeping Rock is very beautiful, covered by lush, green foliage and wildflowers. Return the way you came. |
