Directions to Trailhead:

In Mesa Verde National Park, take the main road from the Visitor's Center 5 miles to the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum.

Trail Description:

The Spruce Tree House Trail is a half-mile loop that descends 100 feet to the site of the Spruce Tree Ruins. Most of the descent involves stairs. Once at the ruins, visitors are allowed to descend into a kiva.
