"The Verleys' Rocky Mountain Adventure"
|
For John, business travel with Banner Health Systems has always been and adventure. While the managers I support have been sent to such "exotic" locations as Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Columbus, John has traveled to places like Orlando, FL; Fairbanks, AK; and Greeley, CO. Lucky! Although I haven't been able to travel with John on every single trip, Mary and I have been fortunate to travel with him on a couple of occasions. In 2004 (sorry, no journal), we traveled with John and several other Banner Health employees to attend a conference at Disney's Swan & Dolphin Hotel; while we were there, we spent five fun-filled days at Walt Disney World - Mary's first trip to a Disney theme park, and my first time in Florida. And in June 2006, Mary and I went with John to Greeley, CO, so that we could all visit Rocky Mountain National Park. John would have to spend the first half of the week working; but after that, he was on vacation. And what better way to spend a family vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park than with a two-night backpacking trip! The best part was, it was a business trip for John, so we didn't have to pay for his airline ticket. It was the same price whether he returned on a Wednesday or a Saturday...right?
