John Verley, on a solo backpacking trip in the White Mountains.I am John Verley, and welcome to my page. I am an avid skydiver and hiker. My wife, Heather and I live in Phoenix, Arizona, with our daughter Mary Suzanne and Bootsie the cat.

I am a payroll manager with Affiliated Computer Systems (ACS). I am also an active skydiver. I have been jumping since April 1992. Currently, I have over 4100 jumps and 72 hours of freefall. I enjoy formation skydiving, in which skydivers link up to form various formations while freefalling. In December 2002, I was a participant in the 300 person World Record Skydive; I have also been invited to participate in the 500-Way World Record Attempt, which will take place in Thailand in 2011.

Additionally, I am a Senior Parachute Rigger. This is an FAA designation that allows me to pack and maintain reserve parachutes.
