Directions to Trailhead:

From Globe/Miami go north on SR 188 to SR 288. SR 288 becomes dirt but is easily passable by car except in wet weather. Go north approx 25 miles to trailhead at the Reynolds Creek Group Camping area.

Trail Description:

The trail begins in a lush pine forest and climbs up and down through the Salome Wilderness (northeast of Lake Roosevelt). After cresting a ridge it emerges into the open where in junctions with another trail (name unknown). From this junction the trail begins a descent for approx 1/2 mile. This will bring you to the rim of Workman's Creek Canyon. From the rim the trail descends steeply over many switchbacks to the creek, where the trail ends. Further exploration is possible (and recommended) by walking up and down the creek.
