Hiking SticksLeki Wanderfreund: This stick is both lightweight and easy to pack, as it collapses to about 18" long. The cane style handle is easy to hold onto, and the shock absorber is a nice feature, too. Good for light hiking and backpacking. Tracks: Although not as lightweight as the Leki pole, the Tracks trekking pole does collapse to about 24" long as well for easy storage and packing. The pole has a wide rubber stopper on the end that covers a pointed titanium tip for breaking ice. The wooden knob on the top unscrews to become a camera mount, which is nice for getting those family pics when there is no one else around. Return to Hiking Gear Reviews. |
