Hiking BootsMerrell Chameleon II Ventilator: We have both the Women's and the Men's style of this particular boot, available at Popular Outfitters. What we like about them is that they are very comfortable - lightweight, with padded ankle support. This is the most comfortable hiking boot I have ever owned. What I don't like is that the boot is not waterproof, so it doesn't work well for those water hikes. Hi-Tec Tormenta Hiking Boots (Kids): Okay, so once your child is old enough to hike more than two miles on his or her own, you will want to spend a little more money on their hiking boots...without going broke, of course. We have tried a couple of different hiking boots, and I find that, for my child's wide feet, these boots fit her the best while providing the most flexibility. And yes, they come in girlie colors, too; these boots are gray and pink! Downside is, they are not waterproof. Cherokee Kids Hiking Boots: Let's face it - children grow fast! So, do you really want to spend a lot of money on their hiking boots? Cherokee makes a hiking boot that is sturdy and provides goot ankle support for your youngster - your child will probably outgrow them before wearing them out. They cost only $12-$16 dollars at Target stores. The downside is that they are not waterproof. Return to Hiking Gear Reviews. |
